Lot 4 John Quincy Adams

Partly-printed DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 13.5 x 18.5, April 24, 1828. President Adams grants Jonas Stanberry “assignee of Edward Whaley who was a private in the Delaware Line,” 100 acres of land “for Military Services.” Signed at the conclusion by Adams and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. Matted and framed with a portrait and a biographical plaque, to an overall size of 23.5 x 25.5. In very good condition, with three vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature, several spots to document, and scattered wrinkling and toning. The paper seal is worn, but intact. Oversized.
